What exactly is in a surprise bag?
It is a surprise. Each store fills its bag with whatever is left at the end of the day — bakery items, café food, produce, or small gift items. That is what makes it fun, and what makes it so much cheaper than buying the same items individually.
How much do bags cost?
Our example launch pricing is $5 for a bag worth around $20, and $10 for a bag worth around $30. Every store sets the final contents and price of its own bags, and the price you see before reserving is the price you pay.
When can I reserve a bag?
Not yet. GrabSurprise is in pre-launch marketing mode, so the bags on this site are illustrative examples. Join the waitlist and we will email you when reservations open near you.
Where do I pick up my bag?
Directly from the store, during the pickup window the store sets — usually shortly before closing. Our model is local pickup only, with payment made to the store.
Is the food safe to eat?
Participating stores remain responsible for food safety and must follow local food-safety rules. Bags may include items close to their best-before date, but stores must never sell products past a use-by date.
I run a bakery or café. How do I join?
